The NRC said in a statement that train services between the two cities had been suspended due to “security reasons.” The statement continued, “At about 10 p.m., on Monday night, gunmen onboard a passenger train, travelling from Kaduna to Abuja, blew it up, killing several people and injuring others.” The NRC urged passengers not to travel by rail in the wake of the attack and advised them to use other forms of transportation if necessary.
