When the police reached his residence he found that his throat of DG was split and the symbols of burn wounds were also discovered on his body. In this case, the cos have apprehended the domestic helper of Lohia who identified as Yasir Lohar. Currently, he is the main suspect in this case. The police are currently investigating the murder case and currently, they are not sharing any details of this case. Mukesh Singh, the Additional Director General of Police of J&K visited the residence of Lohia at Udaiwala on the periphery of Jammu and stated that IPS Officer of 1992 batch was discovered dead on the night of Morning, 3rd October 2022 with having burn wounds and throat slit on his dead body.

The security guard which was present at the house of the officer watched the fire flames inside his room Lohia. They broke the gate of the room which was locked from the inside. The exploratory investigation of the scene are pointing out that he was killed by someone else and did not take his own life. The cops stated that the domestic helper of Lohia, the 23-years-old, Yasir Lohar is the prime suspect in this case. He is a citizen of Halla-Dhandrath Village in the district of Ramban.
