A 15-year-old boy has been charged over three alleged Philadelphia shooting incidents that left two people dead. Yazid West is accused of killing two people and wounding another in three separate crimes across the city’s north, east, and south. Who is Yazid West? Despite the ongoing investigation, not much has been revealed about West, including his exact age. According to his criminal record, which was obtained by local news site PhillyVoice, West is currently 15 years old. The teenager allegedly involved in three separate Philadelphia shootings appeared in court on Wednesday, with prosecutors arguing for a $2m bail.

If that figure is approved it would make the teenager the highest-bailed teenager in the city’s history. Eric Rassbach, deputy general counsel at the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty – which is representing West – said the $2m bails were “exorbitant… and unconstitutional. Has been arrested and charged with three counts of attempted murder after recently opening fire on three people in Philadelphia. The attempted murders took place on Monday, July 9th in the city’s Germantown neighborhood. The shooting spree began when West fired shots into a home, injuring one person inside.

He then proceeded to fire multiple shots at two other homes, narrowly missing both occupants. The first shooting took place on the 16th when West fired a handgun into a crowd of people during a festival. The second shooting occurred on the 18th when West shot and killed a 26-year-old man outside of a grocery store. The last shooting happened on the 18th when West discharged his gun into a playground, injuring two children. According to reports, West has been charged with three counts of murder and is currently detained on $2 million bails.
